Red Sox to bid on Burnett

While a contract offer might not be imminent for the former Blue Jays (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/46) right-hander, the Red Sox (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/34) do have interest in pitcher A.J. Burnett. Sox general manager Theo Epstein had a conversation with Burnett's agent, Darek Braunecker, yesterday on the free agent pitcher, according to a major league source.

I remember Curt Schilling being interviewed probably a year or two ago. He remarked how Burnett seems to have even better stuff than Beckett. Though as we all know, pure stuff isn't always enough. You have to be able to harness it and stay healthy.
