I had a situation arise yesterday & forgot about the "other league" draft. I forgot to set my draft order also & wound up with like 8 running backs.

You might want to start him out with collected editions, properly known as trade paperbacks. The only minor issue might be that a lot of mainstream titles aren't that kid friendly, but if he's playing Injustice, it's probably alright. The New 52 series of Action Comics and Batman, even though I'm not a big fan of the rebooted series, are probably pretty good starting points since those are the foundations of the current DCU. Justice League also wouldn't be too bad since the art by Jim Lee is really, really good.

I grew up a DC guy myself, so I'm happy to hear that NJ is liking them, but steer him towards some Marvel titles. Ones that I can recommend are coming up. All-New, All-Different Avengers is going to be good for all ages, and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is going to be another prospect.

If you set up a subscription/pull service from your LCS, try and get the comics bagged and boarded if you have to pay for the membership, and at the very least, if they aren't bagging and boarding the books, you should be getting 10% off minimum if you have to join their comic club service. Usually shops will charge $10 a year for them to have a file for your comics.

I'd also recommend that he watch Young Justice on Netflix, and you should too. I recently watched it, and it's very well written and is top notch.

Weird. I thought I answered this. Haha. There is an Injustice comic series that uses the storylines from the game, and there is a ton of new stuff coming out. Who are some of his favorite characters?

Sorry for the late response; was getting destroyed by finals. You don't need an XBox so long as you have Windows 8. You can download it onto your PC and just create an XBox music account, which is what I did. They've still got some of the free mp3 albums up if you're interested.

I grabbed Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, The Joshua Tree, and Slippery When Wet for free (Also picked up Lionel Richie's Can't Slow Down: Deluxe Edition, because for free, why not? ), and for $2.99 each I grabbed All Things Must Pass and Crossroads 2: Eric Clapton Live in the 70's. Good stuff.

This is one of the greatest music deals I've ever seen. Seems legit from all the searching around I've done (hopefully there's no hidden fees in here, but, I haven't seemed to be able to find any.). Look into it, and fast (before it ends) to see if there's anything you're interested in.

(By the way, this isn't some spam post or anything. This is legitimately LMD posting this on your wall at SportsJabber. Just in case this came off as robotic spam or anything. )

You have to start checking out Starset. Its like a less-good Operation: Mindcrime. Which isn't to say the band's bad or anything, because they're not; they're awesome. Its just Operation: Mindcrime is a classic. I digress. You should start following Starset because the music is awesome and so is the concept. They call themselves "cinematic rock." The whole thing (band, album, videos) is basically one giant concept, instead of just having it be a concept album. Get in on the ground level, so to speak. Here's a series of videos to sort of catch you up to speed as to what's been going on in the Starset universe (so you can determine if you like them. Hopefully they show up here as URLs and not videos. ). Watch them in order for best effect. (There's only 2 songs and 4 ~1:00 long trailers, so its not all that time consuming. Maybe 15 minutes at the most. Don't worry.)

Thanks for letting me know. Hopefully it doesn't upset you or anything ridiculous like that, but because I know how much you love Joe I felt the review was a bit lukewarm, and for the same price I could get an additional 6 songs from Slash's newest album, I ended up going with Slash's "World on Fire" instead. In case you cared.

I'll let you know how it is in a week or so. I know you liked his last album "Apocalyptic Love." I've got high hopes from what Ive heard so far.

I've got a couple reward points dollars saved up and I need to buy some stuff off Amazon for school. There's 3 newish albums I'm looking at. Only have enough saved up for 1. Without mentioning the other 2, how do you rate the new Bonamassa?
