Woods, a junior from Rockwall, Texas, made the announcement on his Twitter account. SoonerScoop.com also reported the diagnosis for Woods, who has begun receiving chemotherapy treatments. Woods was told last week that he has Stage 3 lymphoma.

On Twitter, Woods wrote these words: “Strong and positive attitude,” and earlier, “Fighters mentality. Round 1…”

In 2011, Woods was the starting deep snapper on placekicks and played on the offensive line in four games. He was also on the Academic All-Big 12 first team.

I read about this yesterday. I wish the best for the young man in his battle against cancer.
