Big Twelve Most Experienced Team vs. Least Experienced Team in Fort Worth Showdown.

TCU attempts to bust a big favorite out of the National championship hunt as they did with Boise State last year. This time... Kansas State, the most experienced team in the NCAA versus the team which is starting the most freshmen and sophs, TCU. K-State has played mistake-free all year; TCU leads the nation in red zone turnovers.

But there is a you-never-know factor at work.
1) The young Frogs are the fastest defense K-State has played this year, and they are gelling. Patterson went to a unique 4-1-6 versus Geno Smith last week, and TCU is among the nation's leaders versus the run. Last year, the playmakers were all on offense; this year, the defense is capable of making big plays. Maponga came back last week, and it made a huge difference.
2) Klein may be injured. Even if healthy, this is a tough test for him in his Heisman run.
3) Despite all the running back injuries and a new qb, TCU still has a half dozen game-breakers at WR, so you just never know.
4) TCU is home after 3 of last 4 on the road.
5) Gary Patterson is a grad of K-State, often mentioned as Snyder's eventual replacement. This is a bigger game to him than Texas or Oklahoma, and it is doubtful K-State will have the same fire for TCU as TCU will bring to the table for K-State.

If K-State doesn't put this away in the first half, we may have a great game here. Experienced talent beats less experienced talent most of the time. But you just never know.

Update. TCU has won its last three games against top 5 ranked teams, and are 4 for 5 in Gary Patterson's coaching career against top five teams.
You just never know.

Fumbled punt inside the 10 (again). Held K-Stae to fg.
Shanked punt sets up K-State at the 18... held to fg.
Interception return....K-State held to fg.

This could have been a 40 point blow-out, but for defensive stands.

Looks like TCU has its defense back to the old days, and will return all next year.

Too bad K-State, defensively, looks like they are playing with 13 men on the field. Tough team to sustain long drives against.
