Could Andy Reid be the next coach of the Cowboys?

Of course, that is all based on Reid being fired by the Eagles, which is expected, and Jason Garrett being let go by the Cowboys, which isn't quite as sure, but certainly could happen if Dallas does not make the playoffs.

"I know a lot of people think Andy is going to San Diego next year, and I can see that happening," the source said. "But I keep hearing Dallas. I think he can end up with the Cowboys. As a matter of fact, I think he will end up with the Cowboys, if Jason is fired."

If Reid does get fired by the Eagles and hired by another team, it would follow the same path as the past two Eagles coaches, who were also terminated under Jeffrey Lurie's ownership. Rich Kotite was fired after the 1994 season and took over the Jets in 1995. Ray Rhodes was fired after the 1998 season and took over the Packers in 1999.

It didn't work out so well for either of them.

So, all that needs to happen for Andy Reid to become coach of the Cowboys is Andy Reid and Jason Garrett both getting fired? The Extremely Reliable Source may be talking out of his ass, but if he's guessing right—and he's been "hearing Dallas" a lot, so it's hardly fair to call it a guess—that means Andy Reid would be calling the shots on a Tony Romo-led team. And that team would be the Cowboys! We may have a veritable derpocalypse on our hands.

Please let this happen

As much as this is gonna kill me to say this,

but by all comparisons Reid overall is a better head coach than Garrett

Reid's record

129-88-1 during the regular season

10-9 in the post season

Garretts record

18-16 in the regular season

no post season record

only down fall with Reid is? his play calling and ability to get them over the big hurdle
but his teams are competitive and remain that way for a very long time as he has
proved time and time again in Philly

the only other question left to ask?

is IF this hypothetical hiring of Reid does take place at the end of the year, does
Jerruh take his hands fully off and allows Reid to pick his own staff and players??

This source has the inside track on Reid being fired, Garrett being fired, who will be interviewed but never considered to satisfy the Rooney rule, and everything else in between. He (or she) has the track on the thinking of the Eagles, Reid, and Jerry Jones.

My only problem with Reid is that he doesn't run the ball. The Cowboys need to be somewhat balanced. If Murray can stay healthy (big if), then he can be a stud running back.

Many of the Eagles fans I know have an illogical disdain for Reid. It is similar to the Cowboys fans that think Romo is the source of all of the Cowboys problems.

1. I think that reporter is just throwing stuff on the wall to see if it will stick.

2. Reid has had a lot of stuff happen in his life. I think he'll take 2013 off.

3. Jerry will NEVER let someone else take control of the Cowboys.

Perhaps he is just throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks, but it's
not like Jerruh hasn't allowed a coach to take control before, Only problem
was age

Reid at 54 has a ways to go before his days with football are done!
