I'll never understand why my mom insists on always calling people to our house or making appointments for the crack of dawn. Seriously, she has nothing going on the entire day, so why not call a repair man to shout between floors, stomp around the house, and pound on shit at 7:30 am. Sounds awesome. So can't wait to get my own place.

I'd like to say that when you get older, you'll understand...but it never happens. Heh. You won't ever understand it. One of those parental mysteries.

I'm really glad that my wife and I decided to never have kids and subject them to the things we grew up with.

Why is there so much criticism of the rap genre? I was just thinking about this earlier. I totally understand if people don't like it because I don't like some types of music too but it seems like people who don't like rap go out of there way to bash the genre unlike any other genre. Just been thinking about this

I don't like it for many reasons. Same for not liking the vast majority of top 40 and country.

I don't consider it music the vast majority of the time and dislike when people call it music as there is rarely musical ability involved. It's more akin to rhythmic poetry, when it merits that sort of comparison, which unfortunately, is less and less warranted as time goes on. I would say the same for many pop stars as well, who don't write their background music nor their lyrics. I would put rappers above them, certainly, but below actual singer-songwriters, musicians, and bands.
