Texas Travis: Texas has SEC envy

I happen to think Travis is all wet. Mizzou has a brighter future than Texas? I don't think so.

I'm glad for Texas A&M fans that they had success this past season & found a stud QB,but let's not anoint them elite quite yet. You know, they were a mediocre program in the Big 12 for a decade before they left the conference. I have always believed A&M was a gold mine with the right coach & administration. Kevin Summlin has a good track record,& may be the coach to build a monster. Only time will tell.

As for the horns, they cannot seem to stack the deck enough to stay on top of the Big 12 or college football. Every advantage in the world & they have been underachievers for most of Mack Brown's tenure(save 2005,2008-9).

This article was written last summer, prior to A&M's success.

I think this was my favorite part...

But in the last few years all of the battles he's won have led to a lost war. He sacked the Alamo, but then Texas A&M went San Jacinto on his ass. Yep, Dodds is a modern day Santa Ana, a would be Texas dictator who thought he'd already won the war and then got whipped while he was in the middle of a siesta.

Oh, Dodds has got money, but money without football games that people care about is what dry humping is to sex, it defeats the entire purpose

After getting its asses thoroughly kicked by Oklahoma(again) and being dominated on their home field in the traditional Thanksgiving game by TCU, maybe the author needs to reconsider his comment about Texas not having games people care about in the Big 12. This comment was meant to be condescending to opponents, but in fact the Longhorns are no longer a "marquee matchup" for others. No team from any conference fears the orange uniforms anymore, and there are many teams on our schedule we fear much more than a match against Mack Brown.
