Report: Matt Elam to enter 2013 NFL Draft
05:58 PM ET 12.30 | The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the 2013 NFL Draft is quickly approaching and eligible players have been declaring their intentions to go pro since the end of college football's regular season. Today, reports are indicating that this year's safety class will receive a top-tier prospect. According to Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post, all signs point toward Florida Gators safety Matt Elam entering the 2013 NFL Draft. At least that is the word that his football coach from West Palm Beach Dwyer (Fla.) High School Jack Daniels is passing around. "I think he's got his mind made up," Daniels told Lieser. "He's gone. He has the opportunity to be a high draft choice and make more in his signing bonus than most people make in 30 years. It'd be a bad business decision if he didn't. If somebody told you they'd pay you a million dollars, would you go back to school?" Elam is projected to go in the first round.
