Celtics interested in DeMarcus Cousins?

04:28 PM ET 12.29 | As soon as it was known that the Sacramento Kings had suspended center DeMarcus Cousins for fighting with head coach Keith Smart, teams around the NBA were licking their chops and hoping that the young big man would be available via trade. Many teams, including the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons, started to inquire about Cousins' availability. While teams may be interested in Cousins' services, it takes two to tango. Unfortunately for those teams hoping to acquire a big man, it doesn't appear that the Kings are willing to make a move anytime soon.

Sullinger is already showing promise and Cousins is a head case. Sully is benefiting from KG and the solid core around him and his teammates rave about his basketball IQ. If you don't get the production from Cousins, then he's nothing but a guy who needs babysitting. It's one thing to steer a guy in the right direction, but the Celtics suck right now. The core needs to be worrying about getting it together on the court, not about bringing in a guy that needs mental fixing. Not to mention he would be just another new body that would need to be integrated into the offense. Rivers and the players are having a hard enough time as is.

That, and the Celtics are struggling BIG time with their transition defense and from what I read Cousins is bad in transition. Sullinger also gives up the body often and takes a good deal of charges, not sure if Cousins is the same, but I have my doubts.
