I mean it's clear they are making a moral statement but at the same time maybe I am wrong but I think it's just been allegations against Bonds and Clemens. Sosa..or Big Mac I can see. They had one or two monster seasons where the world watched. Bonds...I dunno no matter how you feel on it all not sure they'll be able to keep him out.

As Olney said, just give them a plaque and detail their PED history on the plaque.

I get the cheaters shouldn't be rewarded. Just never was sure Bonds and Clemens were proved beyond a reasonable doubt other than allegations. Were they?

Nope. And there was no concrete evidence that they'd lie about it either

As much as it pains me to say it, even without my assumption that he took steroids, Bonds was/is a hall of famer.

Are they going to act as if baseball ended in the mid 1980s? Anything after that does not count because of PEDs? Players used PEDs in the 80s, have used amphetamines & cocaine for decades, hitters have corked bats,pitchers have used substances on & cut the baseball. Cheating is not new to the game. Do not give me the character issue either, because there are players in the HOF from every time period that had character issues. The "steroid era" is a part of the game's history now whether we like it or not. We cannot just pretend these players did not exist.
