Report: Terrell Suggs was required to surrender several firearms last month
Posted by Mike Florio on December 6, 2012, 8:14 PM EST As part of ongoing domestic disputes involving Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs and the mother of his two children, Suggs was required last month to surrender several firearms, according to Justin Fenton and Jeff Zriebiec of the Baltimore Sun. “The guns were surrendered over to police pursuant to the court order, and they [Suggs and Candace Williams] are resolving their issues,” Suggs’ lawyer, Warren Alperstein, told the Sun. “All I can tell you is that he’s in rightful and lawful possession of the guns but turned them over pursuant to the requirements of the law.”

if he had been charged with a domestic violence charge, most states will not allow you to own a gun, even if you legally could in the past.

Terrell Suggs surrendered nine weapons to police
09:10 AM ET 12.08 | Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs surrendered nine weapons to authorities late last month in connection with a protective order brought against him by his ex-fiancee, The Baltimore Sun first reported. Suggs had the weapons delivered to Ravens Training Camp, where authorities safely collected a .45-caliber pistol, a 9 mm pistol, a .454 Casull revolver, a Bushmaster rifle, two Defender 2000 rifles known as AR-15 rifles and three shotguns. This marks the second time in three years that Suggs was named in a domestic violence complaint, and by the same person -- the mother of his two children, the WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team confirmed. According to a source who has seen the temporary protective order, Suggs and his ex-fiancee, Candace Williams, got into a fight in early September in which, she claims, "he jumped into the car and began punching my neck and threw me out of the car. I tried to grab my purse and phone, but he started driving away with our children in the car. My hand was stuck in the seat belt and he dragged me at a high rate of speed. I freed myself and fell in the road. He came back and picked me up and drove home." WBAL |
