Mets R.A. Dickey wins NL Cy Young award

First knuckleballer to ever win the Cy Young. He played for a fairly mediocre team too. Pretty impressive.

Congrats to Dickey. When the ol' knuckleball is tumblin' it is the toughest pitch to hit in baseball.

I'm so proud of Robert Allen Dickey for winning the 2012 Cy Young Award especially as a member of the New York Mets. He was the feel good story of the year, played well and showed his leadership skills on a team that needs leaders. An awesome pitcher but a better man and he won that award for all knuckleballers through out history!

on a team that only won 70 something games, he had close to 1/3 of the victory total. and for a time in may and june he was downright unbeatable. he deserved to get the award, now the mets need to lock him up for at least 2 more years.

Knuckleballers can pitch into their mid 40's so Dickey still has some decent years ahead of him the I agree the Mets should lock him up for an additional two or three years or see what they can get because it is clear that ownership is not in this to win championships!
